I just attended a wedding here tonight. The food is exceptional. I highly suggest their braised short ribs. They are to die for. The drinks kept on coming and all the staff were extremely polite and accomrdating. The grounds are just stunning. There are flowers blooming everywhere. Needless to say, it was one of the most beautiful places I've been to.
Don't judge a book by its cover. Baywood looks spectacular but it left something to be desired. We were told that we had to stay on the cart path for 2 holes. After hole number 1 the Marshall came to tell us that we had to stay on the cart path for all 18 holes. To make matters worse, the greens had been aerated two days prior to our golf outing. The greens were in horrible shape with the plugs all over the greens. To make matter worse, we had to work around the maintenance crew rather than the other way around. Why we weren't told about the conditions of the greens when we booked is a mystery. Why the maintenance crew has no golf etiquette is a mystery. I regret we did not ask for some compensation.
Most visually spectacular golf course I have played. Course is so beautifully manicured and the abundance of flowers lining the tee boxes and course just takes the experience over the top. Private club for the day level of service and all else made the 3 1/2 hour drive from North Jersey totally worth it. I will absolutely, enthusiastically return!
A great public course that makes you feel like a VIP at a private country club from start to finish. Every aspect of this place warrants a 5 stars rating. First time playing it and will be driving the 4 hrs from NY to play it again. Lived up to my high expectations
